Technological Risk Assessment and Environmental Insurance Workshop

The Technological Risk Assessment and Environmental Insurance Workshop was organized by Geoklock and took place on November 24 at the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) headquarters.

The event was focused on risk assessments in Switzerland and Brazil. It provided a parallel on views on the subject and relationships with insurance and liabilities. Clients from several industrial sectors attended the workshop.

The event was presented and mediated by Vinicius Ambrogi (Geoklock). New ideas about the theme were presented in lectures by Peter Christen (EBP Switzerland), Nathalia Gallinari (AIG) and Marco Antonio Ferreira (Sustenseg).

The Workshop included the following lectures:

• The advantage of comprehensive risk management | Peter Christen | leader of the EBP risk assessment department, with 30 years of professional experience. Mr. Christen was responsible for developing the Manual for the Prevention of Accidents in Refrigeration Systems in Switzerland.
• Environment insurance | Nathalia Gallinari | AIG Seguros Brasil, environmental insurance division. Ms. Gallinari discussed the primary variables that govern environmental insurance;
• Environmental hazards | Marco Antonio Ferreira | technical director of Sustenseg and a member of the Brazilian Association for Risk Management. Mr. Ferreira addressed insurance coverage and legal liabilities in the event of accidents.
