Geoklock is happy with its participation in Battelle

The 11th edition of Battele happened in Palm Springs, between April 8th and 12th, 2018. Geoklock was there and they feel their participation had very positive results. Geoklock’s CTO Rodrigo Coelho said this was the first time they participated so intensely in the event. They sponsored, lectured, presided tables, selected papers and had their own stand. “We are very happy with how it all turned out, especially in terms of potential future partnerships. We showed ourselves, exchanged a lot of experiences and had many conversations about eventual future partnerships,” said Coelho.

Geologist Victor Sewaybricker, a technical coordinator at Geoklock, believes that taking part in Battelle was also important to show they are in no way behind the world’s greatest players in this field. “We are all on a same level, both in terms of equipment and technical capabilities. This is very important, because we could talk to future partners as equals,” he affirmed.

According to Rodrigo Coelho, having a stand at the event created a meeting point. Geoklock provided support materials for the participants and that led to many conversations, often about common clients in different parts of the world. “That is why we expect this will generate future business. We had a chance to talk and show some of what we can do, opening doors for collaborations.” According to him, this was the main goal the Geoklock team set for Battelle: looking for partners – and he feels they were successful.

Victor Sewaybricker believes this was a good opportunity also to establish Geoklock’s current situation in the market. “They know now that we are not interested in competing for a share of the US market, for instance. Instead, we want to establish partnerships from Brazil. This is where we have been working for almost 40 years: we know Brazilian regulations inside out, and we are truly experts in all we do.”

Rodrigo Coelho mentioned that Geoklock have already been invited for the 2019 edition of Battelle, which will be focused on bioremediation. This is proof of the organizers’ satisfaction with the work Geoklock have been doing. “It will happen in Baltimore (Maryland). We will probably play a similar role as the one we had in the chlorinated solvents event. We will work very hard to play our role well and to create new benchmarks for our company, showing strategic partners what are our technical capabilities, organization and potential.”
