Geoklock takes part in Ecotox 2018

Geoklock Consultoria e Engenharia Ambiental, a company that has been established in Brazil for almost 40 years, attended the 15th Brazilian Congress of Ecotoxicology (Ecotox 2018). The event took place between September 1st and 4th, in the city of Aracaju, in the northeast of Brazil. “This is a major forum in our area, with important lecturers and international relevance,” said Filipe Biaggioni Gimenes, an environmental engineer with Geoklock.

Ecotox is a forum aimed at fostering technical and scientific development and knowledge sharing.

The event brought together Brazilian and foreign experts to discuss a variety of ecotoxicology-related issues, including clean technologies, bioremediation techniques, and ecological risk assessment methods.

Geoklock presented two papers: “Case Study: Ecological Risk Assessment in Site Impacted with Pesticides, Organic Compounds and Metals” and “Soil Toxicity Testing for the Assessment of Total and Organic Mercury Bioaccumulation in Oligochaeta.”

One of the goals of this event was to promote the integration of researchers involved in this field of expertise. Attendants have access to information on current methodologies and techniques, expanding their knowledge.
